A young professional in Seattle striving for excellence
in the fields of public relations and marketing.
As a University of Washington student studying Communication, Journalism, Marketing and English, I’m venturing into the professional world pursuing a career in public relations and marketing. I’m passionate about social media and its importance in consumer relations, and I work to provide high caliber customer service in both online and face-to-face interactions.
My professional experience includes interning at the Seattle Art Museum and the Seattle PBS affiliate KCTS 9, planning local promotions for an international consumer products company, working at a regional television station in the Portland area, managing the publicity and online marketing for the Reel NW film series, and volunteering for the largest student community service organization in the world. Through these capacities I’ve had the opportunity to publish my writing, interact with customers through online marketing, host and produce a live television show, pitch and implement an award-winning advertising campaign, and plan several large-scale events including a convention for 1,500 students. I’m employed as the Director of Social Media for the Susan Carr Vocal Studio, where I am creating an online marketing campaign for her soon to be released vocal instruction program.
These opportunities have expanded my skill set to include proficiency in social media marketing and communication, event planning, copywriting for websites and advertisements, press release production and distribution, efficient media communication skills, as well as the capability to write feature articles and editorials.
At the University of Washington, I serve as an officer in both the Public Relations Student Society of America and the American Marketing Association. In these positions I have been able to connect with both students and professionals across the nation who share my vocational passions.
I encourage you to take a moment to explore my website. Here you can find my résumé, writing portfolio, my PR and marketing blog Talk of the Town, and a little bit about me and my interests. I hope to be able to connect with you on my social media platforms; and if you’d prefer something offline, I’m always glad to meet for coffee. Thanks for stopping by!
Best Regards,
